Job Description:
|
To give direct patient care as directed by a trained nurse.
1. To support the resident in his / her plan of care. These are
based on Activities of Daily Living which are :
• Personal Hygiene - washing, dressing, bathing etc.
• Elimination - toileting and pad changes
• Communication
• Mobility - may include hoisting
• Eating and drinking
• Maintaining comfort
• Maintaining a safe environment
• Dying
• Spirituality
• Sexuality
• Breathing
• Control of body temperature
2. To assist the trained nurse in the preparation of a resident
for treatment.
3. Use correct Moving and Handling techniques as directed by trainer.
4. Work to the Homes infection control policy.
5. Participate in any in house training and attend update courses.
6. Maintain a clean and tidy environment.
7. Complete all documentation as requested by the nurse.
8. Any housekeeping duties required throughout your shift.
