'Family Run' Business
Bradwell Hall Nursing Home is a family owned business. The Owners
are Michael, Edward, Julie and James who deal with the day to
day management and administration of the home. They play an active
role in maintaining the high standards that the Nursing Home offers
and are always available to meet any residents and their families.
The Care Team
The Care Manager (Matron) is registered with the C.S.C.I. and
is in overall charge. Ultimately, it is the Care Manager's role
to ensure residents care needs are met and staffing levels are
maintained. Each unit has a dedicated team comprising of appropriately
qualified nurses, care assistants and domestic assistants, each
led by a Unit Manager.
Care Development
In order to provide the highest possible standard of care, it
is important for staff to identify a residents specific needs
and requirements. Therefore each resident is provided with a 'Care
Plan' which is reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
The ethos of care at Bradwell Hall is appropriate and individualised
for each resident. Particular attention is paid to providing an
extremely high standard of personalised care with choice, rights
and wishes all taken into account. Staff are encouraged to use
general socialising skills at all times and one-to-one interaction
is very important to our residents.
Families and friends are encouraged to participate with the care
team. Relatives meetings are encouraged and there is an open
door policy in place. Chatting on a social level is deemed important
to the ethos of the home.
Activities
There are two dedicated activity co-ordinators for the home who
organise relaxation, music, reminiscence, posture exercises, crafts
and games for residents to participate in at their leisure. A
multi-sensory room is also used as therapy for the residents.
Day trips within the local area including packed lunches can be
arranged.
Medical Cover
Supporting our Care Team and providing the Home with medical cover
is a local GP who visits the Home on a regular basis and attends
to any resident who requires seeing.
The Practice works closely with the Care team and is able to access
a wide variety of complimentary therapies, including physio, OT,
speech therapy, etc.
